A gourmet dinner without much time, what do you think?
I was thinking if i could do as much as i could in preparation the better so, to start i thought
A coarse pork liver pate with a little garlic and sage, Calvados (apple brandy) and pink peppercorns and melba toast, salad garnish
Then a venison casserole with a port, red wine, and redcurrant jelly sauce, spring onion and parsley dumplings, and a medley of autumnal veg (baby carrots, new potatoes, shallots and mange tout
then an orchard crumble (plum, apple and pears)
or a cherry pie with creamy custard
cheese board with a selection of British cheeses ( a Stilton, Wendlesdale, a cheddar, a goats cheese and a cream cheese with crackers and grapes.
Coffee, Port, Brandy and liqueurs, hand made chocolates
Everybody coming loves offal and game
Sounds Delicious. Can i come over too…lol. The only thing I would change is i would offer a variety Quebec cheese instead of British. (Though it may be hard to find Quebec cheese where you live.)
