I use Bitter Creek ( http://www.bittercreek.com/ ) or Cierra Candles ( http://www.cierracandles.com/ ). Both of these sites have a wide selection of everything you will need to make you own candles. If you are looking for whole sale candle supplies, Lone star Candle Supply sells wax, fragrances, and dyes in bulk quantities. They have wax buy the case or pallet. http://www.lonestarcandlesupply.com/
Enjoy your candle making adventures!
I was looking at this site it has some good info.Making a candle is a process of combing wax with dye, fragrance, container configuration and wick. All these components can have a dramatic effect on the wax and how the candle performs. Dyes and fragrances can react poorly with each and cause problems with wicking. They can also react with the wax to produce undesirable effects.http://www.fiestawarecandles.com/gellu.h…
Hi.
Good luck!
Regarding learning to make candles, there are so many good sites to choose from:
You can actually take a free online course in candle making here:http://artisanschool.com/courses/
Candle Making Techniques has very good explanations and pictures of different subjects, especially the basics stuff:
Site: http://www.candletech.com/
Basics: http://www.candletech.com/basicinstructi…
And for all sorts of ideas, projects, news, tips and more candle making related daily information, you can visit my candle making blog, and subscribe to its free newsletter:http://candle-making-update.blogspot.com…
Now regarding supplies, if you are just beginner, a starting kit would be a good idea. But the best advice I can give you is finding a local supplier to save on shipping!
Here are US suppliers sorted by the states (all the good suppliers other answers recommended are listed):http://www.fragranceoilreviews.com/csbs.…
And an excellent site to query about specific suppliers is Candle Tech’s forum, where people are more than eager to help:http://www.candletech.com/forums/
And – don’t forget to have fun too
